Hi, I'm Luca Colaci (Cola)

I'm a last-year student at Bocconi University, pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence. Recently, I started liking Cryptography (and Secure Multi-Party Computation in particular): now I want to see where this will bring me.

About me

I'm an MSc student in Artificial Intelligence at Bocconi University, where I also completed my Bachelor's degree. During my studies I spent a semester abroad at Georgia Tech. While at Bocconi I co-founded Astra, one of the main student representative associations on campus, and I'm currently helping its expansion across north-west Italy.

I am deeply interested in applied Artificial Intelligence — especially work that can improve people's quality of life and enable seamless, easy-to-implement collaboration. I also keep up with recent advances across computational technologies and enjoy applying them to real-world problems.

I am currently part of Francesca Buffa's research group in Computational Biology, where I'm searching for hypoxia signatures in transcription data.

More recently, I started exploring Cryptography and I found out that I like it a lot, especially in the context of Secure Multi-Party Computation.

Update: starting in September, I will be joining Accenture Italy as an LLM Development Analyst.

If you want the longer version: my timeline lists what I've been up to year by year, my projects collect the things I've built, and the notes I took during my degrees are free to read. I also keep a page of suggestions worth your time and the playlists I actually listen to.
